The Newport Center Toastmasters Club Meeting on January 24, was attended by 20 members and three guests: Larry (3rd visit), Dustin (2nd visit) and Anthony assistant Area Governor A-2

- Some equipment needs fixing and a volunteer would be welcome.
- Christi suggested that a newsletter be written and placed on the website. She was thinking of a blog. More discussion is needed and the topic will brought back later.
- New member Larry was voted in. Welcome Larry.
- Sandra suggested to have blank named cards to be used by guests.
- Les has extra DVD’s from previous meetings. If a member is missing one, contact Les.
- Les suggested that the SAA give a warning at 6:59 AM to make it easier to begin the meeting on time.
- Christi asked if it would be of interest to have a special cameraman tape individual speeches to add to the website. It will be discussed later.

The Newport Center Toastmasters Club Meeting on January 17, was attended by 17 members and six guests: Scott (4th visit), Larry (2nd visit), David (returning member), Michael, Lori, and Dustin (all three 1st visit).

We have added two new members: Scott and David, ACG. Welcome.

- Mark informed us that former member Mel who had a liver transplant a couple of years back, needs another transplant.

- David reminded us to shake hands when we return control after each stage of either speaking or evaluating.

- February 21 is President’s day. We will notify members whether or not the building will be closed.
- Christina will be inactive for a while to allow her studies.
