The June 27 meeting of the Newport Center Toastmasters Club was attended by 23 members and one guest: Mohammed (1st visit).
The theme was: “Independence Day” – The word of the day was: “emancipate”.The winners were:

This is Mark’s last meeting. He has served as our president and our club is President’s Distinguished. Thank you, Mark.
David recommended an Investment seminar at the Pasadena Convention Center on July 1st. It is “A Morning With Charlie”.

The June 20 meeting of the Newport Center Toastmasters Club was attended by 18 members and two guests: Christine, current Area A-2 Governor and the incoming Area A-2 Governor, Jason.

Please note that there will be an officers’ meeting next week.

- The L.A.C.E. training for all officers will be this coming Saturday at Rancho Hondo College. See Foundersdistrict.org for more information. Traditionally we had all of our officers trained. This is still our goal.
- The Installation of officers will be on July 10. A separate email message asking for your attendance will be sent shortly.

New Business:
- Cindy who is one of the Sergeant-at-Arms will be absent for four weeks. Members will be asked to help.

- David reminded us to shake hand when returning control of the meeting after we speak.
- Steve was voted in as a returning member.

On June 6th, Newport Center Toastmasters Club 231-F was attended by 20 members and three guests: Kathleen, Katharine ( both 1st visit), and Steve, a returning member.

- L.A.C.E. training will be this coming Saturday at Chapman University. Please see the information at:
