Newport Center Toastmasters

The September 26 meeting of the Newport Center Toastmasters Club was attended by 23 members and four guests: Tom, Roberto, (both 3rd visit), Tracy and Todd (both 1st visit).

Tom and Roberto were inducted in our club. Welcome.
A new roster will be sent.

The theme was: “trees” – The word of the day was: “solubrious”.

Old Business:
- Because of their affiliation with the Irvine Company, the dues for Sat and Erick were paid with the rest of the members. Should the club pay for them. The vote was approved. David supported it because he was here at the time that Sat arranged to use our current location and David was with us when we needed to leave Pacific Mutual.
- Cynthia reminded us to be sure to let the Toastmaster and Sergeant-at-Arms know ahead of time when s/he needs to use the computer.

New Business:
- Two new members were inducted: Tom and Roberto. Welcome Tom and Roberto.
- The Installation of new officers (officers still unknown) will be on January 8, 2012.
- Dr. Bob invited everyone to attend a special movies : “Anonymous”, on October 27. Bob offered a special price.
